Church Security – Defend the Flock

PREREQUISITE FOR THIS EVENT (Who): ALL STUDENTS REGISTERING FOR THIS CLASS MUST BE ABLE SHEPHERD (PHASE 4)

***MUST BE CURRENT STATUS***

What/Why: Reality Based Training is where the rubber meets the road. This Able Shepherd Special Event “Defend the Flock” will simulate an active shooter event in a church. In the event of a real-world emergency you are ready, or you are not ready; We say it this way “The parking lot of the shooting is no place for a training class…”. There will be no dry runs, warm-ups, or dirt dives. There will be a safety brief, gear overview on security sashes and then it’s go-time. You have what it takes…time to perform…”On YOU!”

When: SAT. Feb 25th 2023, 10am-2pm 

Where: Brave Church, 3800 E Hampden Ave, Englewood, CO 80113

How Much: $200 per person

MAX: 30 STUDENTS 

We will begin with a Sim Safety Brief and then begin scenarios that cover:

Internal Security of a Church

External response to an attack on a House of Worship

Purpose and donning of DSM Safety Sashes

Deconfliction between “Immediate Responders” and “First Responders”

Shoot/No-Shoot (Target ID under stress)

T360, Entry tactics, Team Comms
