In this course, students will learn how to play their part, whether they’re directly engaged in marksmanship, managing observation and communication, or providing critical support from a distance. Overwatch is a need for everyone—it's not just about shooting; it's about knowing how to contribute effectively to a team dynamic. This comprehensive training program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively engage in overwatch operations (600yards and in).Upon completion, students will: Understand MIL/MRAD Reticle System: Gain a foundational understanding of the MIL/MRAD reticle used in the Strike Eagle 3-18 FFP scope. Students will learn the principles of using this reticle for making precise holds, and understanding how to apply it to various shooting scenarios. Zeroing and DOPE Chart Development: Master the process of sighting in and zeroing their rifle for optimal accuracy. Students will also learn how to build and maintain a custom DOPE (Data on Previous Engagement) chart, ensuring precise shots at varying ranges. Target Acquisition Skills: Develop rapid target acquisition techniques for both stationary and moving targets, ranging from 90 to 600 yards. Students will learn to quickly identify, track, and engage targets, improving their speed and accuracy under varying conditions. This training program equips students with the necessary skills to excel in overwatch positions, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application for real-world scenarios.
